Empora
A superb engineering team from Imperial College and Oxford applying new and proven technology (image search) in a fundamentally new way that can transform the consumer PC visual search and browse experience. Empora's first consumer facing website, www.empora.com, enables users looking to buy clothes online to navigate vast quantities of items quickly. A click on a product image returns many visually similar products at different price points, from different brands. Shoppers are able to 'get the look' from a mix of high end and high street brands without the need to trawl the web for hours. Apart from co-founding and procuring financing for Empora, Alexander Straub is currently serving as CEO of the company and is thus heavily involved in pushing the concept into a reality-changing mass-phenomenon.
Truphone
((truphone)) combines two mass markets trends: Voice Over IP adoption in the telecom networks, and all IP based communication based on PC buddy list communication now moving to the mobile phones. Truphone is the global leader in MVoIP "Mobile VoIP". Straub Ventures has supported and joined all financing rounds for ((truphone)) including the recent (April 2008) $32.7m Series B investment round. The company also recently acquired SIM4travel to complete its GSM core network and allowing seamless global mobile telephony services. Alexander Straub has been heavily involved in defining the strategy of the company and continues to serve on the board. ((truphone)) has received numerous industry awards including Global Technology Leader at the World Economic Forum in Davos in 2007 and Global Red Herring Awards 2007.

Potum is a revolutionary mobile advertising solution. Founded by Straub Ventures and a team of proven and outstanding entrepreneurs in early 2008, Potum is currently in stealth mode - stay tuned.
net mobile AG
net mobile AG offers custom-made mobile tools like interactive SMS services, mobile entertainment products, voice services and mobile payment services. net mobile AG was acquired by NTT DoCoMo.
COE
COE Ltd develops and supplies integrated video surveillance (CCTV) systems for complex high profile sites worldwide. COE products and systems provide faultless and cost-effective video surveillance in safety critical operations and rugged environments year after year. They deliver very high quality video and extensive third party integration.
COE provides both IP and hybrid IP/analogue solutions which leverage existing installations.
The company has over 10,000 installations worldwide, supplied indirectly through selected systems integrators, resellers and installers. The company provides support through the entire lifecycle including design, supply, on-site test, commissioning and long-term maintenance.
IBX
IBX is a public Swedish Supplier Relationship Management (SRM) company. Straub Ventures procured investments for Portum AG, which was later bought by IBX as part of their international expansion.
Update
update software AG was founded in Vienna in 1988. With nearly 300 employees and sales of EUR 32.5 million in 2007, it is the leading European supplier of premium CRM solutions. Today, update's products are used by more than 1,300 companies and more than 150,000 users.
OB10
OB10 technology ushers in a new era of what we call accounts payable settlements, e-invoices. Replacing EDI standards on a global base with OB10. The company has grown from small origins to be the leading global contender and is becoming the standard for enterprises anywhere.

Plambeck, a wind park manufacturer, has been Europe's most active advocate for offshore wind energy production. Other involvements in CleanTech include ClimateWell and EcoCities.
